I've had it for just about a month so I can't speak of long term performance. I have had Frigidaire windows a/c in the past, and my husband is using it and it is over 20 years old. My ONLY inconvenience (not a complaint) is that I can't read the remote or the print on the unit at night and am, nightly, using my flashlight work the unit. I do however like that the remote is a real one that uses non-watch batteries (ie has some bulk to it) and has real buttons, not those cheap pop-it buttons.

I bought this to replace the one that came in my RV trailer. That one did not output cold air very well. This one is smaller, lighter and has way more features. Works very well as a one room air system. Really like it.
