I have had a lot of these, and this one keeps time (I am always looking at it for the time), cooks fast and evenly, and doesn't blow up my food, causing a mess in the microwave.

The product feels fairly sturdy, but we have to close the door from the top. It works well and we are glad to have one working again in our kitchen. It does not feel as sturdy as our previous model, but certainly works well.

I have had several microwaves over the years and have decided this GE model works well. Mainly it heats well and evenly. It has user-friendly features. Only issue is that it seems a little loud.

Hope this micro lasts. Installed same model on 3/13/2018. Recently that unit quit working. Usage was not heavy mainly reheating. Live in isolated area. No repair facilities close. Purchased same model to replace making for a easy install. Just hoping it last longer.

Very happy with this unit. And I notice it works better that the older model GE it replaced. Really noticed with popcorn. Only a few un popped vs the usual 15-20. with the older one.

Great microwave overall. The only thing hard to get used to is the timer on/off button you have to click before and when you want to start time. Getting used to it now but took me a bit to figure out.

The only problem we're experiencing is when the door closes, there is a loud clicking. It actually sounds like it's being slammed. When you program the microwave for heating, it sounds as though something mechanical engages. It's possibly the tray, but the sound is louder than expected.

Purchased this GE microwave to replace my 14 yrs old GE microwave. They are very similar in appearance, the touch pad is similar enough that I don't have to read a book of instructions, and it fit perfectly in the space where my old one was. It isn't as attractive as the old one and is no louder/quieter. My old one had an insert that allowed you to microwave two layers of dishes at the same time; this one doesn't. I really like the larger and brighter letters on the Time. It doesn't have AM and PM, but I don't miss it. The light on the bottom is brighter and really puts out a lot of light on my cooktop. I dislike that the handle is larger in circumference and is further from the touch pad. On my old one, you could grab the handle and rest your hand on the edge of the touchpad to open the door. On the new one, the handle is too fat and too far away to do that, thus you just pull the door open. Looks like, with no support, it would eventually cause the door to drop and not close and make connection the way it should. Maybe not. I do not like the defrost button. You have to enter the weight of the item and then the time, then press Start. How can I possibly know the weight of every item I might want to defrost. Overall, I am pleased with my new microwave and hope it gives me another 14 years of service.
